POST credit applicable. This class is limited to 10 students. All students applying for this class must have attended and passed a recognized basic law enforcement sniper school. We will not be covering the fundamentals of marksmanship and history. All students must have a working knowledge of their rifle and gear. We will have a zeroing of the rifles before the main course begins. This course will be physically demanding so students should be fit. The ability to perform his/her duties under stress is an essential element of this class. This class will involve long hours and will be pass or fail.
Don’t expect a free certificate just for showing up – you will earn it. Students should bring all necessary food/beverages with them each day for the course and be prepared to camp on site for the duration of the class. We will not have a scheduled lunch break. You will eat and drink when you can. Students should come in two man sniper teams. If you attend solo, you will be paired up with another single sniper as a team. Teams will be working together during the course to achieve each objective that is set in front of them. There will be a prize for “Top Sniper.” This will entail a collection of the best overall performance of each individual compared with qualification course scores. Depending on the overall student’s experience, some days may be faster than others on instruction. This will allow more time in practical scenarios to test the techniques taught. We strive to teach practical and viable skills.
This is a law enforcement sniper course, not a military course and all techniques shown will apply directly to you in the field.
