Location: Gallant, AL 

This 2-day class is designed for the beginning vertical rope practitioner (no previous rope experience required). If you’re wanting to learn how to safely rappel for recreational purposes, or just starting your adventures in caving or lightweight rescue, this is the first class you should take. The following subjects are covered both in a classroom and field environment: Equipment, anchors, knots, belays, descending and self-rescue in a single rope vertical environment.

Gear Requirements: Long pants, hiking boots, leather rappelling gloves, snacks or lunch easily prepared in the field. While RAT supplies all the required gear for this class, if you have a personal harness / helmet and climbing gear, then you are welcome to bring it.
